A hiring manager gives your portfolio six seconds. Put the number in the title.

"Redesigning onboarding" tells a reader what you did. "Cut onboarding drop‑off from 41% to 23%" tells them why it mattered.

A hiring manager reading forty portfolios on a Thursday gives each one a few seconds before deciding whether to keep going. The title is the part they are sure to read.

Finding the number

Look for the metric the team argued about. It is usually in the kickoff doc or the launch post. If there was no number, say what changed in plain words: "Booking a visit in 3 taps, not 9".

If the result was mixed, say that too. An honest small number reads better than a vague big claim.

Every case study title on this site follows the rule, and the highlighted part is always the result.
